The easy to combine and highly comfortable flared pants with a high waist is a trend from the 70s which is indispensable in any contemporary wardrobe. It is a simple and quick to make pattern a fun project for beginners. The fabric choice makes what gives the look of these pants. Go nice and retro with a velour rib, or make high-waisted flared pants tougher by choosing a jean stretch or wrinkle-free by choosing a travel jersey. The pants fall tight like leggings to the knee after which they flare wide. Finished with a waistband with elastic in it.

You buy a pdf pattern that you print out at home in A4 size. The included sewing instructions and video will help you from start to finish. It is a detailed description of each step in making the patterns. It contains clear photos, & videos, explanatory text and tips that will give your projects a professional look.

This pattern can only be made from a fabric with at least 25% stretch. The fabric used for the example is a stretch rib. Choose a slightly firmer stretch fabric to show off the wide leg of the flared pants with high waist. Suitable fabrics include; stretch rib, french terry, punta di roma & punta di milano.
