For summer, sew some cheerful shorts from this sewing pattern with ease. The shorts have sewn-on side pockets and are finished with a waist tunnel through which elastic goes. I designed the pattern so that you can make these shorts from both stretchy and non-stretchy fabrics.

The pants fall loose on the hips and close high on the waist. This pattern looks best with thin fabrics. Think cotton, linen, double gouze, hydrophilic fabric, lace, light denim. But can also be made from jersey, travel jersey or a french terry.

This an excellent pattern for the beginner as well as the advanced among us.
